123Net, a Michigan-based provider of network solutions, today announced a major expansion of its advanced metro fiber hub in Grand Rapids and West Michigan business communities.
123Net´s multimillion dollar investment includes 25 miles of high capacity fiber in the Grand Rapids downtown business community, plus two separate 10 mile fiber rings reaching out to the northeast and northwest communities, respectively.
The combined 45 miles of new fiber offers area businesses world-class fiber infrastructure that integrates directly with 123Net´s local data centers and fixed wireless PoP sites, creating a robust network solution that can service even the most data-centric organizations.
123Net also announced that it has begun an expansion to its Grand Rapids data center that was originally opened in 2001. The latest investment will enhance data center and colocation services by essentially doubling the size and performance metrics of the facility.
